Daily rates at Estacionamento Econômico usually beat app-based lots
Estacionamento Econômico is the on-site economy parking at Curitiba-Afonso Pena International Airport (CWB), serving Terminal T1. It sits within the main airport complex, so you stay on airport property the entire time instead of parking off-site and waiting for a shuttle.
This is uncovered surface parking with marked spaces and standard lanes, aimed at keeping costs lower than the covered garages closer to T1. You pay at automatic machines or manned booths, then exit using the paid ticket at the barrier.
Walking time from Estacionamento Econômico to the T1 check-in hall is usually around 5–8 minutes, depending on where you find a spot in the lot. The walk is flat, and you stay on internal airport roads and sidewalks the whole way.
Pricing is per hour with a capped daily rate, which makes it workable for both one-day business trips and multi-day leisure stays. If you plan to leave the car for more than 3–4 days, run the numbers; the economy daily rate often undercuts private lots by a noticeable margin once you cross that length of stay.
The lot operates 24 hours a day, matching CWB’s flight schedule, so late arrivals after 23:00 or early departures before 06:00 are not a problem. You can enter and exit at any time, and payment machines usually accept both cash (BRL) and major cards.
Tip: If you are catching a morning wave of departures between 06:00 and 08:00, plan to arrive at Estacionamento Econômico at least 30 minutes before check-in to allow time to find a spot, walk to T1, and handle any ticket payment queues on the way out later.
