Staff-only parking lot on the airport perimeter
Employee Parking at Curaçao International Airport (CUR) sits on the airport perimeter and is restricted to staff, contractors, and airport-authorized vehicles only. Security staff monitor entry, and unauthorized cars can be ticketed or towed. If you’re flying out of Hato, this is not a public option and you won’t be able to pull a ticket at the gate.
Access usually runs through staff badges linked to airport employers, not day tickets or QR codes. Each company based at CUR allocates a set number of parking spaces for its team, and some charge employees a monthly fee deducted from payroll. Visitors listed on a company access list may be allowed in briefly, but only when pre-cleared in writing by airport security.
This lot sits farther from the passenger terminal than the main public parking areas in front of departures. Walking from Employee Parking to the terminal typically takes longer than crossing from the short-term lot, so most staff either time their arrival earlier or coordinate a quick pick-up and drop-off at the gate-side curb. There is no public shuttle serving this lot.
Security rules here are stricter than in the regular CUR parking areas. Routine checks include plate verification and random trunk inspections, and cars left without valid staff credentials can be locked with a wheel clamp. Overnight parking for employees is usually allowed, but long-term storage over several days often needs supervisor approval and registration with security.
If you’re not airport staff, head directly to the main public parking in front of the passenger terminal at Curaçao International Airport instead of following signs to Employee Parking; that saves you a backtrack and an awkward conversation with security at the access barrier.
