Foodmarket

3

By the T3 check-in hall, Foodmarket is your safest bet

Right in Terminal 3, Foodmarket sits before security near the main check-in counters, so it works for anyone using either CPH terminal. You can grab food on the way in from the train station under T3, then walk straight to security with your meal in hand. It’s one of the first proper food options you see once you leave the metro or DSB trains.

Foodmarket runs from early morning into the evening, typically covering the first departures around 05:00 through the late European banks. Expect quick-serve counters with sandwiches, pastries, salads, and hot dishes that sit in the 75–150 DKK range depending on how substantial you go. Coffee, soft drinks, and bottled water usually price slightly above downtown Copenhagen supermarket levels, but still normal for a Nordic hub.

Food skews Scandinavian airport standard: think rye-bread sandwiches, salads with smoked fish or chicken, and hot options like pasta or meatballs, plus pastries similar to what you’d see at a basic city bakery. Portions tend to be enough for a short-haul flight but not huge; if you’re flying long-haul from T3, plan on adding an extra sandwich or snack. Vegetarian choices appear, but if you need vegan or gluten-free, check labels carefully on each item.

Service is counter-style with self-serve fridges, and payment is contactless-friendly with Visa, Mastercard, and mobile wallets accepted in DKK. Because it sits pre-security in Terminal 3, queues spike around the 06:00–08:30 wave when SAS and other European departures bank. If your flight leaves from Terminal 2, factor in the 10–15 minute walk plus security wait and don’t cut it close.

Tip: if you land at CPH hungry and your hotel is in the city, it can be worth grabbing a sandwich or salad at Foodmarket in T3 before boarding the 15-minute train to København H, especially late at night when some city spots are closed.
