Taxi P50.00 flag down (INNOVA)

P50 flag-down gets you into a Premium Taxi INNOVA

At Mactan Cebu (CEB) Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, Premium Taxi stands use Toyota Innova units with a P50.00 flag-down rate, higher than regular white cabs but lower than most hotel car services. These are still metered taxis, not fixed-rate cars, so you pay the P50 base plus distance and time.

Premium Taxi ranks sit just outside the public arrival halls of Terminal 1 (domestic) and Terminal 2 (international), past the baggage claim exits and within the same forecourt used by regular taxis and TNVS pick-up zones. Look for the separate Premium Taxi lane and INNOVA units, not the smaller sedans in the regular line.

There’s no set journey time listed because traffic between CEB and Cebu City or Mandaue swings wildly from 25 minutes to well over an hour during rush hours, even with the Mactan–Mandaue Bridge and Marcelo Fernan Bridge both open. Budget extra time if you’re heading to IT Park, Lahug, or the SRP area, since those routes often slow to under 20 km/h.

Fares start at P50.00 for the flag down on an INNOVA, then scale up with distance; short hops within Lapu-Lapu City can land under P200, while rides into Cebu City business districts often run P250–P450 depending on traffic. Carry small bills in the P100–P200 range, as change for P1,000 notes can be hit-or-miss late at night after 22:00.

Premium Taxi units usually queue till around midnight in front of both terminals, though late-night arrivals after 01:00 sometimes face thinner lines and a 10–20 minute wait. In daytime, it’s often a straight walk-up from the arrivals curb, taking less than 5 minutes from baggage carousel to sitting in the INNOVA.

One practical tip: before the driver pulls away from the CEB curb, confirm the meter is on and shows the P50.00 flag-down, then ask for the approximate fare to your specific hotel in Cebu City, Mandaue, or Lapu-Lapu so you have a ballpark number in mind.
