The Body Shop

T2

Right in T2’s main departures zone, The Body Shop sits in the standard cosmetics row you’ll walk past on the way to security checks for domestic and international flights. It’s a regular-sized storefront, not a tiny kiosk, so you can actually pick things up and compare them instead of pointing at a glass case. Look for the green branding on the left side of the main retail strip in Terminal T2.

Prices run close to what you’d see in a city mall in Kolkata, so don’t expect heavy duty free discounts on shower gels, body butters, or skincare. You’ll find familiar ranges like Tea Tree, Shea, and British Rose on the shelves, usually in both 60–75 ml travel sizes and standard 200–250 ml bottles. The shop stocks regular Indian-market packaging, not special airport-only lines.

The Body Shop in T2 keeps hours roughly aligned with flight banks, typically open from early morning departures around 05:00 through late-night international departures near 23:00. Stock can thin out after 21:00 on busy days, especially on gift sets and mini kits under ₹1,000. If you’re chasing a specific fragrance or shade, earlier in the day is safer.

Good buys here are last‑minute gifts: preboxed sets, lip balms, and small hand creams under 100 ml that pass security rules easily at CCU. Large glass fragrance bottles are less practical if you’re tight on cabin baggage weight. You won’t find pharmacy items or makeup beyond The Body Shop’s own line, so don’t come here expecting sunscreen brands like Neutrogena or La Roche-Posay.

Fast tip: if you want to sample multiple scents, hit The Body Shop before heading to your gate in T2; once you reach the far-end boarding piers, there’s no second branch and only basic snack kiosks nearby.
