T2’s Wow Momo for a fast, familiar Indian chain bite

Gate-side in Terminal T2, Wow Momo is the easiest recognizable fast-food name in the domestic area at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. It’s a quick counter setup, aimed at grab-and-go more than a long sit-down meal, and works well if you’re 20–30 minutes from boarding and don’t want to gamble on slower service elsewhere.

This is the same Wow Momo you see in Indian malls, so expect steamed and fried momos, momo burgers, and simple rice combos rather than a long menu. A plate of veg or chicken momos typically sits in the ₹150–₹250 range, which is on the lower side for T2 airport pricing. Soft drinks and bottled water cost more than street prices, but still in line with other CCU outlets in Terminal 2.

Service at this T2 branch usually runs on a fast-food cadence: order at the counter, wait 5–10 minutes while they steam or fry, then go. That’s manageable on a 45-minute domestic connection within Terminal T2, but tight if your flight is already boarding from a far end gate. There’s limited seating around, so plan to carry your tray back to your gate area if it’s busy.

Stick to the classic steamed chicken or veg momos, and one of the tandoori-style momos if you want something heavier. The momo burgers and sizzler-style plates tend to be messier to eat in airport seats, especially if you’re juggling a cabin bag and a laptop at the same time. Portions lean snack-sized, so order two plates if this is dinner before a late-night departure after 21:00.

One practical tip: order at Wow Momo before you check your departure gate on the far screens, then carry the food with you; walking the length of T2 at CCU can easily burn 8–10 minutes if your gate changes at the last hour.
