T2’s Beer Garden sits airside as one of CCU’s few alcohol options.

Beer Garden is in Terminal T2 after security, so you’re fine on time if your IndiGo or Air India domestic flight boards from the main pier. The space is basic bar-plus-tables, more function than atmosphere. Think “kill 45 minutes with a pint” rather than a long, lingering dinner spot.

Menu focus is predictable: bottled and draft beer, standard spirits, and bar snacks. Expect typical Indian lagers in the ₹350–₹500 range per bottle and mixed drinks starting around ₹500. Food leans into fried starters, sandwiches, and a few mains, with plates commonly hitting the ₹350–₹700 band. Portions run medium; if your flight is longer than 2–3 hours, eat properly here or at another T2 restaurant first.

Service pace at T2 can swing with departure banks, especially around evening waves between 18:00 and 22:00. Staff handle both solo bar guests and groups, but bills sometimes slow down when two or three widebody departures cluster. If your boarding pass shows a bus gate, pad your bar time by at least 20 minutes to account for the extra transfer.

Beer Garden stays open through most flight banks, usually from morning departures around 07:00 until the last late-night waves near 23:00–00:00. Pricing is standard airport-markup for Kolkata: roughly double city-bar rates, aligned with other T2 sit‑down spots. Card payments are accepted, and international cards typically go through, but it’s smart to have a backup local card or UPI ready.

Tip: Check your gate on the FIDS before ordering a second round; a shift from a T2 aerobridge to a remote stand can add a 10–15 minute bus ride and turn a relaxed drink into a sprint to boarding.
