Draft beer towers and bar stools sit right in T2.
The Irish House sits airside in Terminal T2 at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, so this is a post-security stop. It runs through typical flight banks, roughly 10:00 to 23:00, though hours can shrink on quiet nights. Expect a full bar with whisky, gin, and beer on tap at prices in the ₹500–₹900 per drink range.
Food leans pub-style: think fish and chips, burgers, and shared plates that land around ₹450–₹900. Portions run bigger than most generic food court spots in CCU T2, which helps if you’re trying to make one solid meal before a 2–3 hour sector. If you want a quick bite before boarding from a nearby gate, stick to fries, wings, or nachos; mains can take 20–30 minutes during a rush.
Seating is bar counters plus a few tables dotted around the unit, all in the main T2 departures concourse. That means you stay within sight of nearby gates and the main FIDS screens, useful if you’re on an IndiGo or Air India domestic departure from this terminal. Power outlets are hit-or-miss, so don’t count on charging your laptop while you eat.
Service speed varies with the bank of departures; during peak evening waves around 19:00–22:00, expect to flag staff a couple of times for refills or the check. Taxes and a service charge push the final bill higher than the menu suggests, so a simple burger and beer can climb past ₹1,000 quickly. Cards are accepted, but it’s worth having a backup UPI app ready in case a terminal goes down.
Plan your stop here before immigration and security start to stack up for late-night flights; if you’re on a tight 45-minute dash to boarding, this is a drink-only situation.
