150 meters from Terminal 1, P1 Parking Garage is the quick-stop option at Guangzhou Baiyun (CAN).

P1 sits directly opposite T1 and links to the terminal by a short covered walkway that takes about 3–5 minutes on foot. It’s marked as a short-stay garage and suits drop-offs, pick-ups, and same-day business trips. If your flight uses T1’s domestic side, this is the closest structured parking you’ll hit driving in from the airport expressway.

This is a multi-level garage with standard-height ceilings, so think cars and small SUVs rather than oversized vans. Signage at the P1 entrance lists it as short-stay, and pricing runs on an hourly meter rather than a daily cap, which makes anything beyond 24 hours start to feel expensive. If you plan to leave the car longer than one night, check P2 or the surface lots outside T2 and T3 instead.

P1 mainly lines up with Terminal 1 traffic, but shuttle and walkway connections make it usable for T2 and T3 in a pinch. Count on about 10–15 minutes total to get from your parked spot in P1 to a check-in counter in T2, including the walk and any transfer. That can work for early-morning flights that still depart from T2 when T1 traffic is heavier at the curb.

Payment at P1 usually happens at exit gates via machines that accept China-issued bank cards and mobile wallets like WeChat Pay and Alipay, and some booths still take cash in RMB. Keep your paper ticket clean and dry; losing it often triggers a flat “lost ticket” fee that can exceed the normal hourly charge for several hours. Pay attention to posted rate boards at the entrance, which list the current hourly and maximum daily fees.

Tip: if you’re picking someone up at T1 and expect delays of under 3 hours, pull into P1 instead of circling the curb; the 3–5 minute walk often beats waiting in traffic outside Door 8.
