EgyptAir Duty Free

2 · >null Open · >null

Duty free prices here run in euros and US dollars.

EgyptAir Duty Free in Terminal 2 sits airside after security, mainly clustered around the central departures hall serving EgyptAir and Star Alliance flights. You’ll see the brand on multiple storefronts rather than one big shop, so walk a full loop before you buy; the same 1L whisky can jump by several euros between promos.

Spirits and tobacco take most of the floor space, with the usual regional focus: cartons of Cleopatra cigarettes, local arak, and mid-range whisky and vodka lines. Expect standard duty free pricing rather than deep outlet-style deals; a mainstream 1L Scotch usually sits only 15–25% under downtown Cairo mall prices. If you’re chasing genuinely cheap alcohol, this isn’t it.

The cosmetics and fragrance section leans on global brands, but shade ranges and smaller 30 ml perfume sizes often run out by late evening when the long-haul EgyptAir bank goes out. Chocolate and sweets skew toward large 400–1,000 g gift boxes that eat up cabin space. Single chocolate bars exist but cost noticeably more per 100 g than the multi-packs.

Staff generally accept Egyptian pounds, euros, and US dollars, but change often comes back in EGP, and card terminals occasionally go offline when midnight departures spike. If you want time to compare promos across the different EgyptAir Duty Free units in T2, walk through the shops right after passport control instead of waiting until boarding is called.
