Terminal 3’s Bookshop sits landside near the main check-in hall.

This is a straightforward stop in Cairo International Airport’s Terminal 3 if you need reading material or a last-minute gift before security. It runs typical airport hours in T3, usually open from early-morning departures through late-night long-haul banks, so you can normally count on it before both 03:00 and 23:00 departures. Expect standard airport pricing: paperbacks around the 200–400 EGP range, with some English titles mixed in with Arabic bestsellers.

The Bookshop in T3 leans heavily on paperbacks and magazines, plus basic travel extras like pens, notebooks, and small souvenirs. Stock skews mainstream rather than niche: think current fiction charts, a few travel guides for Egypt, and some kids’ activity books to survive a 4–6 hour flight. Don’t come here hunting rare or academic titles; this is more "kill time at gate B" than "build a library."

Language mix is roughly split between Arabic and English, with the English section smaller but usually including global bestsellers that match what you’d see in a major city bookstore in 2024. Prices are labeled clearly in EGP, and card payment works reliably, which helps if you’re running down the last 100–200 pounds of cash. If you care about choice, stop here in T3 before heading to older parts of CAI, where book stock thins out fast.

Tip: swing by Bookshop before clearing security in Terminal 3; once you head airside, reading options shrink to a couple of racks in mixed souvenir stores.
