The BTL Snack Shop

2

Gate-side grab-and-go only at this tiny T2 counter

The BTL Snack Shop in Terminal 2 at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport runs more like a kiosk than a café, so think drinks and packets, not plates. You’ll find it post-security in T2, handy if your boarding pass shows one of the smaller regional flights that use this side of the airport.

Most items are packaged: chips, candy bars, small cookies, and basic bottled drinks in the 330–600 ml range. Expect airport pricing, roughly US$2–4 for snacks and US$2–3 for water or soda, paid in either Belize dollars or US dollars at the usual BZ$2 = US$1 rate.

Food-wise, don’t count on a full meal: think single-serve items you can eat at the gate in under 10 minutes. If you want something more substantial than a packet of nuts, you’re better off eating in Belize City before the 15–20 minute ride to BZE, or checking another Terminal 2 spot with hot food options.

Service is quick; even with a couple of people ahead of you, you’re typically in and out in under 5 minutes. That makes it useful for a last-second bottle of water before a Tropic Air or TAG flight when boarding is already on “final call” and you don’t have time to sit at a bar.

Selection skews sweet and salty, so if you need something specific like gluten-free snacks or protein-heavy options, pack that before you reach the airport. Use The BTL Snack Shop mainly as your backup plan for hydration and a simple bite when you’re already in Terminal 2 and don’t want to backtrack.

Tip: buy your water here right after security in T2; the small gate areas sometimes run short on working fountains, and you don’t want to be stuck for the 1–2 hour flight without a drink.
