Gate-side beer stop more than a meal at BZE T1
Inside Terminal 1 after security at Philip S. W. Goldson International (BZE), Jet's Bar is the tiny counter everyone poses in front of before boarding. Think a few barstools, a small fridge, and walls packed with stickers and snapshots rather than a full restaurant setup.
Food is an afterthought here; assume very basic bar snacks at best and plan to eat properly in Belize City or at your hotel. Prices skew airport-high for what you get, but the draw is the pit stop itself and a quick drink within a few minutes’ walk of most Terminal 1 gates.
Drinks are the play: expect local Belikin beer by the bottle or can and standard mixed drinks poured fast. Figure on paying more than in town, but still manageable for a single pre-flight beer. Seating is limited to a short counter and a handful of stools, so you’re rarely lingering longer than 15–20 minutes.
Jet's Bar sits post-security, so you need a same-day boarding pass to visit. That makes it a natural last stop after clearing immigration and the single main security checkpoint used for most international departures from Terminal 1. Once you’re through, you’ll see Jet’s as you move toward the small cluster of gates.
What to order: grab a cold Belikin or basic rum punch and keep expectations simple. Skip trying to build a full meal here and treat it as a liquid send-off before a 2–3 hour flight to hubs like MIA or IAH. If you care about a seat, slide in 30–40 minutes before boarding starts.
Tip: eat before the airport, then use Jet’s Bar for one quick drink and a photo; move to your gate 20 minutes before scheduled boarding to avoid the tight seating crunch in Terminal 1.
