Footlong subs before security at BTV

Quiznos sits pre-security near the main check-in area at Burlington (BTV), handy if you’re meeting someone or leaving on an early North or South terminal flight. It’s one of the few national chains in the building, so you know exactly what you’re getting: toasted subs, soups, and salads built to order on the line.

Menu here sticks to the standards: Classic Italian, Turkey Ranch & Swiss, Mesquite Chicken, plus flatbreads and salads. Footlongs usually land in the $11–$15 range, with 6-inch options a couple of dollars cheaper, and you can add chips and a fountain drink for a combo price that’s still under $20. Expect basic drip coffee and bottled drinks in the cooler if you’re just topping up before security.

Service is counter-order, pay, then wait for your name; at off-peak times your sub comes out in under 5–7 minutes, but build in 10–15 minutes if there’s a small line behind a TSA rush. Seating is limited to a few small tables nearby, so many people take their bags and eat at the general gate seating once they’ve cleared checkpoint for the North or South side.

Best use here: grab a toasted sub or salad for your Cape Air, Delta, JetBlue, or United flight and skip the pricier snacks near the gates. Portion sizes run large, so a single footlong easily feeds one hungry traveler or two kids. If you’re short on time, stick to standard menu builds instead of heavy customization so the line keeps moving.

Tip: Lines hit hardest around the 6:00–8:30 a.m. and 3:00–5:00 p.m. departure banks, so swing by at least 30 minutes before boarding if you want a hot sandwich in hand before security.
