Vivenda do Camarão

Shrimp-focused chain Vivenda do Camarão sits in T1 after security

In Terminal T1 at Brasília (BSB), Vivenda do Camarão is the shrimp specialist among the usual fast-food names. It’s a Brazilian mall-style chain, so the menu feels familiar if you’ve seen it in town, just trimmed down for the airport. You order at the counter, grab a pager, and food usually lands in under 15 minutes, which works for most domestic connections.

The menu leans hard into seafood: grilled shrimp plates, shrimp in creamy sauces, and breaded shrimp by the dozen. Expect mains in the R$45–R$75 range, with combo plates (shrimp, rice, fries, salad) typically at the lower end. For something heavier, there are baked dishes with lots of cheese and cream, plus the odd pasta. Portions run bigger than most airport “snack” spots in BSB.

Non-seafood eaters still have options, including basic chicken dishes and a few fish-free sides, but this place really lives up to the name: camarão is the star. If you want to keep it simple, go for grilled shrimp with rice and salad instead of the richer sauced versions. Sauces tend to be salty and heavy; balance it with plain sides instead of extra fries.

Drinks stay standard: soft drinks in cans, bottled water around R$6–R$8, and sometimes juices depending on stock. There’s usually no table service; you bus your own tray, and seating is shared hall seating near other T1 food outlets. That makes it workable for solo flyers watching the departures board, since you can see gate calls from most tables in that area.

Practical tip: lines spike in T1 right after big GOL and LATAM bank arrivals, roughly on the hour. If your flight boards 40 minutes out, order first, then grab a seat facing the screens so you don’t miss a gate change while you wait for your pager to buzz.
