Subway

T1 has a Subway if you just want something familiar

This Subway sits airside in Terminal T1 at Brasília’s Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport, so you’re fine once you clear security. It runs on the standard Subway playbook: build-your-own sandwiches, basic salads, cookies, and fountain drinks, with bread baked on-site through the day. Expect the usual 15–30 cm subs with combos landing roughly in the mid-range of airport pricing, cheaper than most full-service spots but more than street locations in Brasília.

You’ll see the regular global lineup: Italian B.M.T., tuna, ham, turkey, veggie, and a rotating “Sub do Dia” daily promo that can knock a couple of reais off the normal price. Footlongs are usually the better value per gram, especially if you’re sharing across a family spread out on T1’s general seating near the gates. Add-ons like extra cheese or double meat push the total up quickly, so watch the board prices before you say yes to upgrades.

Breakfast sandwiches show up in the morning rush and typically wrap by about 10:30–11:00, after which it’s all cold and toasted subs. Drink choices include fountain sodas in multiple sizes, bottled water, and usually one or two juice options; combo pricing is generally only a small step above buying the sandwich alone. Cookies at the counter tend to sell fast during late-afternoon departures to São Paulo and Rio, so grab them earlier in the day if that’s your thing.

There’s minimal dedicated seating; most people carry their bags and food back toward the nearby T1 gate areas. Lines spike around the 18:00–21:00 bank of flights when other quick-service spots also jam up. Tip: if your flight boards from a remote stand, pad in at least 20 extra minutes so the queue and sandwich prep don’t cut into your bus boarding call.
