Adani Lounge

2

FlyerTalk regulars rate Adani Lounge East at BOM T2 as “horrible.”

This review is about the domestic-side Adani Lounge in Terminal 2, used mostly when the separate “Loyalty Lounge” is closed and credit card traffic gets dumped here instead. It sits airside in T2 domestic departures and covers airline-invited guests plus paid and card access, so it fills fast during the evening bank of departures from about 19:00 to 23:00.

The entrance is after T2 domestic security, so you need to clear the Terminal 2 checkpoint before you can even try your airline invite, Priority Pass, or Indian credit card. Access rules change often, but expect agents to swipe at least one card or boarding pass, and expect to be turned away once they hit capacity, which happens frequently on Friday nights and long weekends.

Food is set up buffet-style with Indian hot dishes at set meal times: think one paneer curry, one dal, rice, a dry veg, plus basic bread and dessert. Reports from late 2023 say quality feels like a food court thali plate, not the old GVK standard, and trays sometimes sit semi-empty for 15–20 minutes when the room is packed. Plan to eat a real meal at a T2 restaurant if your layover is longer than 2 hours.

Drinks run to self-serve soft drinks, coffee machines, and basic tea; alcohol depends on your airline or card deal and may not be complimentary. Figure on standard domestic-India bar pricing if you have to pay, roughly ₹400–600 for a beer. Power outlets sit along walls and a few pillars, so count how many percent of battery you have before you commit to a deep corner seat.

Seating is mostly low armchairs packed close together, with some two-top tables. Once the “Loyalty Lounge” is shut and Adani becomes the only option, every seat tends to be taken, and finding two adjacent chairs at peak BOM T2 domestic banks (again, roughly 19:00–23:00) turns into a slow lap around the room.

Tip: If you see a long queue at the Adani Lounge entrance after T2 domestic security, grab bottled water and a snack from a landside or gate shop first; treat the lounge as backup seating, not your primary plan for dinner or quiet time.
