Five minutes after landing in T1, you can already have a Cabify on the way

Cabify runs at both terminals of El Dorado (T1 and T2), and pickups happen in the standard arrivals road, not in a special app-only lot. You book in the Cabify app, set El Dorado International Airport (BOG) as pickup, and the driver meets you curbside once you exit baggage claim.

Pricing runs on a fixed-fare quote shown before you confirm; daytime rides to Chapinero or Zona G usually land in the COP $30,000–$45,000 range, while rides to Usaquén or the north can hit COP $45,000–$60,000 depending on traffic and time of day. You pay in-app by card or via stored payment methods, so you don’t need pesos in hand to leave the airport.

Cabify operates 24/7 in Bogotá, which covers late Avianca arrivals that often hit T1 after 22:00 and early international departures from T2 before 06:00. Cars are standard sedans or small SUVs; if you have two checked bags plus carry-ons, aim for a larger category in the app rather than the smallest option.

Pickup at T1 usually means meeting at the second lane of the arrivals level once you pass Door 5 or Door 6; at T2 you’ll typically meet on the single arrivals curb in front of the terminal, so share your live location in-app so the driver can see exactly where you stand. Plan on 10–15 minutes from app request to pickup during daytime, and closer to 5–10 minutes after 22:00.

Step-by-step: using Cabify at El Dorado (BOG)

  • 1. Connect to Wi‑Fi using “El Dorado Free WiFi” in T1 or T2 before leaving the baggage hall.
  • 2. Open the Cabify app, set your pickup as “Aeropuerto El Dorado T1” or “Aeropuerto El Dorado T2,” and drop the pin on the arrivals curb you’ll exit to.
  • 3. Enter your hotel or exact street address in Bogotá; confirm the fixed fare in COP shown on screen.
  • 4. Once matched, message the driver in-app with your door number (for example, “Puerta 5 T1”) to cut down on confusion.
  • 5. After you meet the car, check the license plate and driver name against the app before getting in.
  • 6. On arrival in the city, the fare charges automatically in the app; you can add a tip in COP through Cabify instead of using cash.

Practical tip: screenshot your Cabify booking screen with plate and driver name before you leave T1 or T2 Wi‑Fi; mobile data can be patchy on the arrivals road, and the screenshot helps you spot the right car fast.
