Parqueadero Cargo Terminal

cargo area parking

Daily rates here run lower than the main terminal lots.

Parqueadero Cargo Terminal sits by the cargo area of El Dorado, separate from passenger Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2). It mainly serves cargo staff, drivers, and people meeting freight operators, but you can still park a private car here. The trade-off: you’re farther from T1 and T2, so plan extra time to move between the cargo zone and your departure terminal.

This lot is on the cargo side of the airport road network, so it makes more sense if you’re dealing with shipments than catching a LATAM or Avianca flight out of T1. Expect very basic infrastructure compared with the multilevel garages by T1, and fewer signs in English. If you’re heading to a passenger flight, budget at least 15–25 minutes to get from the cargo area to T1 or T2 by taxi or app car.

Parqueadero Cargo Terminal usually runs cheaper per hour than the main terminal parking, which helps if you’re leaving a vehicle for a full workday of cargo handling or documentation. Payment is typically by ticket on entry and pay-on-exit at a booth, with rates posted in Colombian pesos at the entrance gate. Bring a physical card or cash; app-based payment isn’t as common here as in the newer T1 structures.

The cargo area sees truck traffic around the clock, so expect movement even after 22:00. Lighting is more functional than pretty, and pedestrian paths share space with loading areas. Stay close to marked walkways and avoid walking between parked trucks after dark. If you’re flying out of BOG, a simple rule works: park here only if you already plan to grab a taxi or rideshare from the cargo zone to T1 or T2 rather than walking it yourself.
