In T2, this is the predictable “healthy-ish” stop.

Subway sits airside in Kempegowda’s Terminal T2 and fills a simple role: you tell them exactly what goes in the sandwich, and you board with something familiar in your hand. It’s the same global format, so if you already know your go-to six-inch or footlong, you can order half-asleep at 02:00 or just before a midnight departure.

Prices sit in the mid-range for airport food: expect a basic six-inch sub to land around typical city-mall pricing, with add-ons like extra cheese or double meat nudging it up. Bread choices usually include Honey Oat, Italian, and a flatbread option, with the staff pushing combos that bundle a drink and maybe a cookie for a small upcharge in rupees.

The menu in T2 sticks to the standards: Veggie Delight, Aloo Patty, paneer variants, and chicken options that mirror what you’d see at Bengaluru city outlets. You pick bread, toasted or not, then run through vegetables, sauces, and extras. If you want to keep it light before a long-haul out of BLR, skip the mayonnaise-heavy sauces and go for mustard and mint, and maybe drop the cheese slice.

Timing is airport-style: long operating hours that cover early morning domestic departures and late-night international banks from T2. Queues spike around the 22:00–01:00 wave, when multiple international flights seem to board at once, so factor an extra 10–15 minutes if you’re cutting it close to your gate call.

Subway works best here as a backup plan. If other T2 spots look slammed or too heavy before a 4–6 hour sector, grab a six-inch, have them wrap it tight, and carry it to the gate. One last tip: ask for sauces on the side in small cups if you plan to eat on board, so the bread doesn’t turn to mush by the time you hit cruise altitude.
