T1 flyers use KFC when they don’t want surprises

In Kempegowda’s older Terminal T1, KFC is the “I know exactly what I’m getting” option before short IndiGo, Akasa, or Vistara hops. If the local South Indian spots look tempting but your stomach is on a different plan, the Zinger burger and crispy chicken buckets here taste almost identical to city outlets in Bengaluru and other Indian metros.

This KFC sits airside in T1 after security, so you can eat without adding buffer time for checks. Prices run higher than city stores by about 20–30%, with a basic burger meal landing in the ₹350–₹450 range and a bucket for two creeping past ₹700. Portions stay standard KFC sizing, so you can split a box if you’ve already had idli or dosa landside.

Menu coverage hits most of the usual suspects: Zingers, hot and crispy pieces, fries, popcorn chicken, basic rice bowls, and Pepsi fountain drinks. Veg options exist but stay limited to a couple of burgers and sides, so strict vegetarians in T1 often head to other counters on the same level. If you care about speed, stick to set meals; custom combo requests tend to slow things down by 5–10 minutes during evening banks.

Seating spills into the shared food court area in T1, so table-hunting near larger gates can take a few extra minutes during the 7–10 p.m. domestic rush. Staff usually call out order numbers over a fairly loud PA, which cuts the risk of missing your tray if you’re checking the BLR flight screens every 2–3 minutes.

Tip: On tight connections under 45 minutes in T1, order take-away from KFC and eat at the gate; waiting for a table in the common seating area can burn the last 10 minutes you don’t really have.
