Long layover in BLR T2 and bored of paneer and dosa?

Burma Burma in Terminal T2 surprises a lot of people: fully vegetarian, Burmese menu, and it’s sitting in an Indian airport rather than a mall in Bengaluru or Mumbai. If you have a 2–4 hour layover after a Vistara or Air India domestic leg, this is one of the few sit-down spots in T2 that feels different from standard North Indian or dosa chains.

The restaurant sits airside in T2, so you reach it only after security and immigration. Figure 5–10 minutes’ walk from most domestic gates in the newer T2 concourse; international gates can push that to 15 if you’re at the far end. Seating runs more like a city outlet than a quick-service counter, so budget at least 45–60 minutes if you want a full meal before a boarding time printed for H–40.

Menu is vegetarian Burmese with Indian-friendly heat levels: think khao suey, tea leaf salads, steamed buns, and curry bowls under roughly ₹500–₹800 per dish. Expect mock meats, tofu, and mushroom-heavy plates instead of chicken or fish; nothing on the menu has egg either. Prices land above the CCDs and below the fancy hotel-branded spots in T2, so a solo meal with a drink usually ends up near ₹1,000–₹1,400 after taxes.

Drinks skew toward iced tea and bubble-tea style options in the ₹250–₹400 range, plus desserts like sticky rice or layered Burmese sweets. Portions are airport-friendly: one main and one side is plenty for a single traveler, while two people can split a large khao suey and one starter without leaving food on the table. If your connection is under 70–80 minutes gate to gate, stick to starters and drinks to avoid clock-watching.

Service timing in T2 typically runs 15–25 minutes from order to main course, a bit slower at evening peaks around the 19:00–22:00 bank of departures. Practical move: check your gate number on the BLR app, then sit on the side of the restaurant that faces your pier so you can keep an eye on boarding updates while you eat.
