Most IndiGo domestic passengers at BLR T1 land here by default
This IndiGo Lounge sits airside in Terminal 1’s domestic area, and many IndiGo tickets and credit cards quietly route you here as the standard contract option. It’s not a flagship product, more a shared-style space carrying the IndiGo name, so set expectations toward basic comfort rather than something like a full-service premium international lounge in T2.
Access works two ways in T1 domestic: airline-arranged entry for eligible IndiGo fares and status, plus paid entry at the door for other passengers on any carrier using T1. If your boarding pass doesn’t show lounge access, ask at check-in or the gate about walk-up pricing before you hike down the concourse; paid entry can run higher during peak evening banks after 18:00 when most BLR departures stack up.
Food here usually follows the standard contract-lounge template for Indian domestic terminals: a small buffet with hot items at meal times, tea and machine coffee, and soft drinks included. Alcohol policies in BLR domestic lounges often change, so if a beer matters on your 21:30 departure, confirm at the desk before you pay. Don’t expect à la carte restaurant dishes or barista coffee the way you might see in some T2 international lounges.
Seating tends to be simple chairs and small tables rather than daybeds or private booths, and power outlets can be hit-or-miss in Indian T1 lounges during the 20:00–23:00 rush. Wi‑Fi usually rides on the airport network, which means you’ll go through the standard Indian mobile OTP process tied to a local number. If you don’t have an Indian SIM, plan on tethering from someone in your group or using offline downloads while you wait.
One timing tip: security for BLR T1 domestic can back up to 20–30 minutes between 06:00–09:00, and again around the late-evening bank of flights, so don’t burn your whole buffer in the food court before heading here. Aim to clear security at least 75 minutes before departure, grab 30–40 minutes in the IndiGo Lounge, then leave for your gate 25 minutes before boarding calls start on the screens.
