Gate-side in Terminal 1, M&S Café is your straight‑up grab-and-go plus sit-down option once you’re airside at BHX.

This café sits just beyond security in Terminal 1, next to the main Marks & Spencer Foodhall, so you can pair a quick coffee with a supermarket-style snack run before your flight. It runs from early morning through late evening, broadly matching BHX’s first and last departures, so you can hit it for a 06:00 flight or a 21:00 one.

Food is what you’d expect from UK high-street M&S: pre-packed sandwiches in the £4–£6 range, cakes and pastries around £2–£4, and hot drinks that usually land cheaper than the big coffee chains nearby. You order at the counter, grab a tray, and either sit in the café area or take everything back to your gate.

Coffee is machine-pulled but consistent; a standard latte or cappuccino usually comes in under £4, and tea runs cheaper again. If you want something more like a light meal, look for the toasties, small hot dishes, or soup pots in the £5–£7 bracket rather than trying to build a meal out of crisps and chocolate from the shelves.

Seating is tight, especially around the morning bank of departures between 06:00 and 09:00, and tables sit close to the main passenger flow through Terminal 1. If all seats are taken, you can still buy food here and walk 2–3 minutes to quieter seating pockets near the mid-20s gates.

One practical tip: use contactless or phone pay and skip coins; it speeds things up, especially in the typical pre‑8 a.m. queue when three or four short‑haul flights to Spain and Ireland are all boarding from the same end of T1.
