Gate-side pints and breakfast plates in Terminal 1

All Bar One sits airside in Terminal 1 after security, so it works for any BHX departure once you’re through the lane. It runs from early-morning departures into the evening service (typically opening before 5:00–6:00 a.m., closing around last flights), so you can get a sit-down meal instead of grabbing a £5 meal deal from the WHSmith queue.

Menu is standard All Bar One: full English-style breakfast plates in the morning, burgers and small plates later in the day, plus coffee and a full bar. Expect around £11–£14 for a burger, £9–£12 for breakfast, and £4–£6 for a beer or glass of wine. Portions are airport-normal, not huge, but you can build a meal out of a couple of small plates if you’re hungry after a 2-hour train ride in.

Service pace varies with the departure peaks around 6:00–8:00 a.m. and again after 4:00 p.m. When it’s busy, staff will push you toward ordering at the bar with table numbers, which is faster than waiting for someone to take your order. There are a handful of seats looking onto the terminal concourse, and a tighter cluster of tables further inside, all a 5–10 minute walk from most gates in T1.

Drinks are the draw for many: draft and bottled beers, house wines, and classic cocktails, all at typical UK high-street bar pricing plus the airport premium. A gin and tonic or Aperol Spritz runs around £8–£10, so it’s not cheap, but it beats balancing a plastic cup from the generic stand near Gate 40. Coffee is priced in the £3–£4 range, similar to the Costa in the same terminal.

Tip: If you’ve got under 45 minutes to boarding at BHX Terminal 1, order at the bar, skip cocktails, and stick to breakfast baps or small plates so you’re not sprinting for a gate change announcement.
