MyChef

Gate-side in T1, MyChef is your shortest walk to food

Right in Bergamo’s T1 after security, MyChef sits on the main departures level, so you see it almost as soon as you clear the checks. That makes it the default option if your Ryanair boarding time is inside 40 minutes and you just need something fast without hunting around the terminal.

Most sandwiches and panini run in the €6–€9 range, with espresso around €1.30–€1.50 and soft drinks closer to €3. You order at the counter, pay, then grab a small table or take everything to go toward the Schengen gates. Portions lean light by Italian bar standards, so figure one sandwich per person, not one to split.

Food is standard airport Italian: pre-made panini, basic pastries, simple salads, and a few hot items that rotate across the day. Expect croissants and brioche in the morning before 10:00, then more focaccia and stuffed panini toward lunch. If you care about texture, pick what just came out of the oven or off the grill instead of the sandwiches sitting furthest back in the case.

Coffee is the safest bet here. A straight espresso or macchiato matches what you get in many Autogrill-type motorway stops across northern Italy, and the bar staff usually pull shots quickly even when there are 10 people in line. Cappuccino quality drops a bit after about 11:00, once the milk jugs have been reheated a few times.

Expect airport pricing and airport pace. If you are on a tight connection under 25 minutes from landing to next boarding at T1, grab a drink and packaged snack only; hot food can easily add 10 minutes at peak times. For early-morning departures before 07:00, this is one of the few spots already serving both pastries and coffee, so stop here before walking down to the lower gates.
