2–3 minute walk from T2 check-in
Parking General T2 sits directly opposite Terminal 2 at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, with walking access in roughly 2–3 minutes to T2A, T2B and T2C. It’s the official AENA car park for T2 flights, so you enter from the main T2 access road and follow signs for “Parking General T2.” The layout is multi-storey, with numbered levels that line up fairly logically with the pedestrian exits leading towards departures.
The car park is open 24/7 and tied into the airport’s flight schedule, so late-night arrivals after 23:00 or early departures before 06:00 are fine. Being an official option, it links directly to T2’s covered walkways, which helps in rain or summer heat. Payment works via ticket on entry and pay-on-exit at machines or the manned booth, with pricing set by AENA and usually cheaper per day than last-minute short-stay at the terminal frontage.
Security is stronger than most off-airport lots: gated entry, CCTV throughout the building, and regular patrols tied into airport security operations. Spaces are standard European size, so wider vehicles fit, but oversized vans and motorhomes should look at dedicated long-stay instead. Elevators connect all levels to the main pedestrian exit closest to T2 check-in counters, which is useful if you’re rolling two or three suitcases.
Online booking through the official AENA site often drops the daily rate noticeably compared with just driving in and taking a ticket on the day. Weekend trips of 2–3 days and full week holidays commonly price out competitively against offsite shuttles once you factor in a taxi to and from remote lots. Best move: pre-book a space for your exact dates, aim for a mid-level floor near an elevator, and snap a photo of your level and sector number before you walk to Terminal 2.
