Parking General T1

Official parking

2-3 minutes’ walk from T1 check-in, under cover

Parking General T1 sits directly opposite Terminal T1 at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, about a 2–3 minute covered walk to departures. It’s the airport’s official multi-storey car park for T1, so you park once and walk straight into the terminal without shuttles or extra transfers.

This is a 24/7 facility serving all T1 flights, including airlines like Vueling and Iberia that primarily use this terminal. Entry is via the signed "Parking T1" access road off the C-32B; barriers read your ticket at both entry and exit. Height limit is typically around 2.1 m, so tall vans and campers need to double-check before committing.

Prices run higher than off-airport lots, but you pay for proximity: day rates often land in the €20–€30 range, with multi-day trips getting progressively cheaper per day through official pre-booking. Online booking through Aena’s system can cut the standard drive-up tariff by a noticeable margin if you lock it in a few days ahead.

Security is solid by airport standards, with CCTV across multiple levels and regular patrols in the official BCN perimeter. Lighting is bright on all floors, and pedestrian routes to the terminal are clearly marked in yellow from each parking bay to the covered walkway. Lifts serve every level, which helps if you’re rolling two 23 kg checked bags plus cabin luggage.

Tip: Fly out of T1 and back into T2 on some low-cost carriers? Add 15–20 minutes on return to ride the free inter-terminal shuttle from T2 to T1 before collecting your car in Parking General T1.
