Bubbles Seafood and Wine Bar

Glass cases of oysters and champagne buckets sit at Bubbles.

Bubbles Seafood and Wine Bar sits airside in the Schengen section of Amsterdam Schiphol (near the airport’s central Lounge 2 area), so you’re fine here on most intra‑EU flights. It’s a counter-and-high-table setup in the middle of the concourse, so you’re eating in full view of gates rather than in a separate room. Figure on 5–10 minutes to get a seat off-peak, longer in the evening rush around 18:00–20:00.

Seafood is the point: expect platters with prawns, mussels, smoked salmon and oysters, plus smaller plates around €12–€18 and bigger seafood mixes that can push past €25. There’s usually a basic bread-and-spread option if you just want something to soak up wine. Portions skew more “airport lounge snack” than full dinner, so plan accordingly if you’re truly hungry before a long‑haul.

The wine list leans heavily on sparkling, with multiple champagnes by the glass and bottle, often starting around €9–€11 per glass and climbing quickly from there. You can also get Dutch beers and standard soft drinks if you’re not in the mood to drink bubbles. Staff are used to people on 45‑minute clocks, so service tends to be reasonably quick for simple orders like a glass of cava and a salmon plate.

Seating is bar stools and high communal tables only, all hard surfaces in the middle of the terminal, so it’s not the place to stash a sleeping kid or spread out work. Electrical outlets are scarce around the bar area, and there’s constant foot traffic from nearby gates and shops. If your flight boards from a remote Schengen gate at the far end of the pier, pad in 10–15 minutes of walking time.

Tip: if you want oysters and champagne before a mid-morning departure, hit Bubbles before 11:00, when it’s calmer and easier to flag staff for a quick check.
