Royal Jordanian Crown Lounge

T1 Open · 00:00-24:00 showers Day pass .2

Three-hour caps and 24/7 hours define this AMM lounge

The Royal Jordanian Crown Lounge in T1 runs 24/7 but regulars talk more about the access limits than the clocks: status passengers in economy usually get 3 hours, business-class passengers around 6, so plan your arrival instead of wandering in right after landing.

You’ll find the lounge on the second floor of Terminal 1, above the main concourse, with large windows that overlook the gate area and let you keep an eye on boarding at nearby stands while you sit with your passport and boarding pass checked at the front desk for oneworld-based access.

The room itself is big by regional standards, essentially an expansive single open-plan space with multiple seating zones, plenty of armchairs, and decent daytime capacity for a couple hundred people, which keeps it feeling calm even when several Royal Jordanian departures cluster around the 02:00–04:00 bank.

Food and drink land squarely in the “you won’t starve” category: think basic hot dishes, small sandwiches, and a few pastries, plus soft drinks and standard coffee machines, good enough for a snack before a 5-hour hop to Europe but not something to rely on as your only real meal on a 10-hour itinerary.

There are showers on site, but they come with an extra charge at the desk and FlyerTalk reports describe them as mixed in both water pressure and cleanliness, so most frequent flyers skip them on a tight layover and wait to freshen up either at their destination or in another oneworld lounge on the same ticket.

Overnight, from roughly 23:00 to 05:00, people often try to sleep in the lounge, but reviews describe the air conditioning as a bit warm and the seating as fine for a short nap rather than a full night, which pushes regulars to split time between a couple of hours here and some walking laps around T1.

What regulars actually do is game the clock: they stay in the public concourse or at a gate seat with a coffee for the first part of a 6–8 hour layover, then head up to the Crown Lounge about 2–3 hours before departure to grab Wi‑Fi, snacks, and a final bathroom stop without risking being timed out.

Practical tip: on long connections over 4 hours, set an alarm on your phone for 2.5 hours before departure and only then go upstairs to the Crown Lounge in T1’s second-floor area so you use your entire allowed window productively.
