Crown Lounge

T1 Open · 00:00-24:00

Boarding calls never happen here: Crown Lounge runs silent 24/7.

This Priority Pass-access Crown Lounge sits in Terminal 1 at Queen Alia International Airport and operates 00:00–24:00, but staff never make boarding announcements, so you have to clock your own gate times. Flight information screens inside become your best friend; regulars park themselves near a monitor and set alarms on their phone before they relax.

The lounge sits airside in T1, after security, and most Priority Pass cards list it simply as “Crown Lounge,” which is what you’ll see on airport signs as you walk past the regular gate seating. Give yourself at least 10–15 minutes to reach some of the farther T1 gates from the lounge, especially during the late-night departure bank around 01:00–03:00 when corridors feel slow thanks to crowds.

Crown Lounge keeps food out all day to match its 24-hour schedule, with basic hot dishes and cold snacks rotating between main mealtimes and the quieter mid-afternoon and late-night slots. Don’t expect restaurant-level variety, but you can usually build a solid plate with at least one hot option plus salads, bread, and dessert. Coffee machines, soft drinks, and standard tea options sit on a self-serve counter, so you can top up without waiting on staff.

Seating runs across several zones, with armchairs and small tables grouped in rows that work reasonably well for laptop use or a quick nap between flights. Power outlets are not at every single seat, so walk a loop first and claim one of the wall-side spots with visible sockets rather than unpacking in the middle. Many regulars choose seats closer to the main aisle where they can see both the buffet and at least one departure screen without standing up.

The “silent lounge” rule is 24/7, not just at night, and that includes boarding calls for big long-haul departures to Europe and North America. Staff will not come tap you at 23:30 for a 00:15 flight; if you miss the 30–40 minute boarding window printed on your pass, that’s on you. TripAdvisor reviews repeatedly flag this, so first-timers should treat the lack of announcements as policy, not a one-off miss.

Practical tip: check your gate on the terminal screens before you enter, then set an alarm for 10–15 minutes before boarding starts; use that alarm, not your watch-glance habit, as your cue to pack up and walk out.
