T2’s Jewelry Shop sits on the main international concourse
On the T2 side of Addis Ababa Bole, this simply named Jewelry Shop is one of the few spots focused only on accessories, not souvenirs. Inventory skews toward yellow-gold pieces and bold designs that match local Ethiopian tastes, with some smaller, more understated items mixed in. It’s airside in Terminal 2, so you only reach it after passport control and security for international flights.
Stock rotates but you usually see gold-plated earrings, bracelets, and chains under glass, plus a small set of rings and pendants at mid-range airport pricing. Think higher than central Addis street shops, but lower than what you’d pay in Europe for similar sparkle. Staff typically quote prices in both Ethiopian birr and US dollars, and they’re used to people asking “what’s the best you can do?” on anything over about $50.
Most passengers hit it on the way from the central escalators toward the mid-T2 gates, killing 10–15 minutes before boarding starts. It works best if you already had “buy some jewelry in Ethiopia” on your list and just ran out of city time. Quality is clearly above the trinket stands near smaller gates, though this isn’t a high-end boutique with branded collections.
Tip: take a quick photo of the piece and price tag, then walk one loop around the nearby T2 shops; if you don’t see anything better, you’re back in under 5 minutes with a clear head to buy.
