5-minute walk from T1: P2 Long Stay is the cheap one
P2 Long Stay Car Park sits a short walk from Terminal T1 at César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport and targets trips of several days or more. It’s the airport’s long-duration option, so per-day pricing is usually lower than the main short-stay car parks at T1. You park your own car, keep your keys, and walk to departures without waiting for a shuttle.
This is an outdoor car park with standard bays, so no height restriction issues for normal rental cars or family SUVs. Because it’s uncovered, cars sit in the Lanzarote sun for hours, so use a windshield shade if you’re leaving the car for a week. Signage in the airport roads points you to “P2 Larga Estancia” near T1, so follow those signs rather than generic “Parking” if you want the long-stay pricing.
P2 Long Stay usually works best for trips of 3 days or more, when the daily rate undercuts the P1 short-stay costs by a noticeable margin. You enter via a barrier that issues a ticket with the date and time printed on it, then pay at the automatic machines or manned pay desk before exiting. Keep that ticket handy; replacing a lost ticket often triggers a full-day or multi-day charge based on the posted maximums.
There is no dedicated shuttle from P2 to T1 or T2; walking time to T1 departures generally sits around 5 to 7 minutes, and to T2 it can be closer to 10 minutes depending on your pace. If you have heavy luggage or small kids, add at least 10 extra minutes to your normal airport arrival buffer so you’re not racing across the car park just before check-in closes.
One practical tip: in the return row, take a quick photo of the nearest section marker or pole number as soon as you park. After 7 days in the sun and wind, every rental car in P2 starts to look exactly like yours.
