Terminal 1 at AAP labels “Working Space” as a public area, but regulars report it’s basically standard gate seating with power outlets rather than a full lounge.

You’ll find Working Space landside/airside references in Terminal 1 of Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport, but there’s no staffed check-in desk, no access rules, and no separate door like you’d expect from a paid or card-based lounge product.

Access is public, so anyone in Terminal 1 can sit here without Priority Pass, airline status, or a ticket on a specific carrier; think of it as slightly more work-friendly seating in the main departure area rather than a quiet business lounge.

Power outlets are the main draw: travellers mention standard Indonesian sockets (220V, Type C/F) near some seat clusters, so bring the right plug adapter and a small extension if you’re running multiple devices before your flight out of Samarinda.

Food and drinks are not part of a lounge package here, so expect to buy what you need from terminal cafés or kiosks in Terminal 1; budget at least IDR 20,000–40,000 for a basic coffee or bottle of water before settling in to work.

Wi‑Fi in Terminal 1 typically comes from the airport’s public network rather than a separate lounge SSID, so be ready for speeds that vary a lot at peak times and use a VPN if you’re handling anything sensitive on your laptop.

Seating is regular airport chairs rather than office furniture, so plan for short work bursts of 30–60 minutes rather than a full remote-work day; if you need a real desk, you may be better off finishing tasks in town before heading to AAP.

Noise levels track flight banks in Terminal 1, with boarding calls and families around nearby gates; noise-cancelling headphones make a noticeable difference if you’re trying to get through emails before a morning departure out of Samarinda.

One practical tip: charge everything to at least 80% while you’re in the Working Space area in Terminal 1, because aircraft on shorter domestic routes around Kalimantan still show up here without USB ports at some seats.
