Terminal 1’s Musholla sits landside in the main passenger area

The Musholla in Terminal 1 at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport (AAP) is a straightforward prayer room, not a lounge. It’s in the main terminal zone, used by domestic passengers moving between check-in counters and the security checkpoint. Think short stop for prayer, not a place to camp out with a laptop.

This is a standard Indonesian airport musholla setup: separate men’s and women’s sections, basic carpets for prayer, and shoe racks by the entrance. You bring your own prayer clothes if you use mukena, and treat it as a quick, respectful stop rather than a hangout spot. Seating is limited to what’s needed before and after salat.

Terminal 1 at AAP handles all departures, so the Musholla serves both early-morning flights and late-afternoon returns. Figure 5–10 minutes to step away from the public seating area, pray, and get back to your gate. Build in that time before boarding starts, since smaller regional flights here sometimes start boarding 30–40 minutes before departure.

The Musholla sits on the public side of the terminal, so you can use it immediately after arriving at AAP or before checking in with your airline. If you’re coming in by car or taxi, you’ll pass through the main entrance doors, walk past the check-in islands, and then follow local signage marked “Musholla.” Staff at the counters in Terminal 1 know it and can point you to the exact corner.

As a prayer room, this space does not offer lounge-style perks: no free snacks, no drink counter, no showers, and no dedicated work desks. Expect simple tile floors outside, carpets inside, and standard fluorescent lighting. Use the public restrooms in Terminal 1 for ablution if needed, since not every airport musholla here has a dedicated wudu station right at the door.

Practical tip: finish check-in and security planning around 45–60 minutes before departure, then use the Musholla on the way toward your gate in Terminal 1 so you’re not backtracking across the terminal when boarding starts.
