Self Check-In

Airline kiosks sit in the public hall, not in a lounge

At Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport Terminal 1, “Self Check-In” means standard airline kiosks sitting in the public departures area, open to anyone walking into the hall. There’s no dedicated lounge, no cordoned‑off priority zone, and no extra seating tied to these machines.

The kiosks serve regular airline check‑in functions: printing boarding passes, selecting seats when your fare and airline allow it, and dropping you into the normal counter or bag‑drop queues afterward. Everything happens landside, before security, in the main Terminal 1 check‑in zone used by all departing passengers.

Hours track with airline operations rather than set lounge times; kiosks are typically active from the first departures of the morning until the final evening flights on the schedule. If the terminal is open and check‑in counters are staffed, you can expect the self check‑in units to be powered on and usable.

There’s no extra fee for using Self Check-In at AAP; it’s part of your normal ticketed service with the carrier whose logo appears on the screen. If your airline doesn’t show up in the kiosk menu, you’ll still need to walk to the staffed counters in Terminal 1 and check in the old‑school way.

This setup also means no complimentary drinks, snacks, or workspaces linked to the kiosks. After printing your boarding pass in the departures hall, you still queue for standard security and then use the regular Terminal 1 waiting areas near the gates, with whatever cafés or shops are operating airside that day.

One practical tip: arrive 2 hours before a domestic flight, head straight to the Self Check-In kiosks in the Terminal 1 departures hall, print your boarding pass there, and then move directly to bag drop or security instead of waiting in the full‑service check‑in line first.
