Accessible Parking

Accessible stalls sit closest to the Domestic and International terminals.

Accessible Parking at Calgary International Airport (YYC) lives inside the main parkades P1 and P2, right by the shortest walking routes into the Domestic and International terminals. Stalls are clearly marked, on the lower levels nearest elevators, so you cut down time and distance from car to check-in. Standard terminal parking rates apply here, so you are paying the same as regular parkade users, just for a much shorter roll to the doors.

You’ll find signed accessible spots in both P1 and P2 parkades, plus marked spaces in some surface areas near terminal entrances on the departures and arrivals levels. Elevators in each structure run directly from the accessible zones up to terminal bridges, so you avoid ramps and long exposed walks in winter. If you use a side-entry or rear-entry wheelchair van, look for the wider bay markings and extra cross-hatched space next to the stall.

YYC’s on-site accessible stalls work for anything from a quick 30‑minute pickup to multi‑day trips. The same hourly and daily caps used for regular parkade parking apply, and charges start from the moment you pull a ticket at P1 or P2. If you’re parking for several days, do the math against YYC’s long‑term options; after about 5–7 days, an off-airport shuttle lot can be cheaper, though usually with more distance and transfer time.

Blue disability placards or plates need to be clearly visible in your windshield or on your plate while parked in an accessible stall. Airport enforcement does patrol P1, P2, and terminal-front lanes, and tickets here run high compared with downtown Calgary. If you’re just collecting someone who needs extra time to get to the curb, use an accessible stall and walk or roll in, instead of stopping in active pickup lanes where staff might wave you on.

Pro tip: aim for P1 if you’re flying from the Domestic terminal and P2 for International; that keeps elevator rides short and avoids doubling back across the pedestrian bridges.
