Remote Parking

Remote

3-minute walk beats any “remote” label here

At Yuma International (terminal 1), “Remote Parking” basically means the same walkable surface lots everyone uses. The short-term and long-term sections sit right across from the terminal doors, and you’re on the sidewalk to check-in in about 3 minutes. There’s no separate satellite lot on the map, and no shuttle loop to wait on.

Everything here functions like a single front-of-terminal lot: drive up Airport Loop, follow signs for short-term or long-term, park, and walk straight to the terminal in under 5 minutes. Remitly’s guide only lists those two lots “right across from the terminal,” with no mention of any off-site or overflow area, so this “remote” option is more about labeling than distance.

Pricing at YUM is generally aligned with small-city airports, with day rates in the main surface long-term section rather than a cheaper far-out field. Regulars in Google reviews talk about just pulling into the terminal lot, parking, and heading inside, with zero references to off-airport shuttles or coupon lots along S Avenue 3 E. If you’re used to tiered remote/garage/premium setups at bigger hubs, that doesn’t exist here.

No shuttle also means no added time buffer. That “3 min” walk is your whole transfer: car to doors, then straight into TSA for terminal 1. You don’t have to build in 20 extra minutes for a bus that runs every 10–15 minutes. The only crunch is at check-in and security if you cut it too close for an early-morning departure.

Tip: For longer trips, park in the long-term rows closest to the terminal crosswalks so your walk with bags stays under 3 minutes even in summer heat above 100°F.
