Costa Coffee

$$$$

6 a.m. departures out of T1 usually mean a Costa stop

This Costa Coffee sits airside in Terminal T1 at Wrocław, right along the main departures walkway, and functions as the de facto caffeine line for early-morning flights. It’s the same UK chain you know already: espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, teas, plus the usual display of pastries and sandwiches. Think mid-range airport pricing: a latte that would be 14–16 PLN in town can creep several zloty higher here.

Price tier is firmly $$, with reviewers repeatedly calling out “airport prices” compared to city branches on Piłsudskiego or in the malls. A basic coffee and croissant easily hits the 25–30 PLN mark, and adding a panini pushes you north of 40 PLN. If you just need caffeine before a Ryanair or LOT hop, stick to simple drinks; the flavored specials add both sugar and cost without much upgrade in quality.

Opening hours aren’t clearly published, but multiple flyers mention Costa being one of the few places already serving before some 6:00–7:00 a.m. departures in T1. That early wave is also when queues back up toward nearby gates, and several reviews mention slower service then. Build at least a 10–15 minute buffer during morning bank departures so a cappuccino doesn’t cost you boarding Group 2.

Regulars treat this location as a grab-and-go stop: takeaway americano or flat white plus one pastry, then straight to gates like B5–B8. Seating exists but is limited and not especially comfortable if you’re trying to work on a laptop. If you care about speed, pick items already in the pastry case instead of hot sandwiches that need a press.

Practical tip: if you’re price-sensitive, drink your main coffee in the city and use Costa at WRO just for a smaller top-up before security and boarding at T1.
