PLN 130 at Warsaw’s Schengen A gates buys you Fantazja
Fantazja Executive Lounge sits airside in the Schengen zone of Terminal A at WAW, used by Priority Pass and walk-ins paying the PLN 130 day pass. It’s the main Schengen lounge, so almost every airline funnels people here, which is why FlyerTalk regulars keep calling it a “zoo” at peak times.
The lounge was refurbished recently and multiple FlyerTalk posts say the food is now “much better” than before, with noticeably improved hot options and snacks. Expect a rotating hot dish, soups, basic salads and packaged sweets rather than full restaurant-level plates, all included in that PLN 130 or Priority Pass swipe.
Beer, wine and basic spirits pour self-serve from the central counter, and fridges hold soft drinks and water; reviews mention that alcohol is free-pour, so it can run low during busy waves around the 05:00–08:00 and late-afternoon bank. Coffee comes from push-button machines rather than a barista, but you can usually get a decent espresso before a Schengen hop.
Seating is mostly armchairs and stools in one open room, and a FlyerTalk poster reported “barely a free seat or stool” during a recent evening rush. Power outlets sit between some chairs and along walls, so if you see an empty two-seat cluster with sockets, grab it immediately instead of hunting later.
Access rules are simple: Schengen departures only, Terminal A, and you need same-day boarding plus Priority Pass, airline invitation, or PLN 130 at the desk. Check-in agents at WAW sometimes print Fantazja on your boarding pass, but door staff still scan it, and walk-up payment is by card in PLN.
Regulars on FlyerTalk say they time visits to avoid peak crowding and in one case a traveler complained, left early and received a voucher after pointing out the packed room. The smart move on a 45–60 minute layover is a quick plate of hot food and a drink, then relocating to a gate-area seat with better personal space.
Practical tip: if you land and connect within Schengen, head to Fantazja right after security; if you walk in and it already looks like an “absolute zoo,” skip the PLN 130 spend and use the public seating near your exact A-gate instead.
