Bolero Executive Lounge

Non-Schengen

Priority Pass in hand and heading non-Schengen at WAW A? Bolero is your default stop.

Bolero Executive Lounge sits airside in the Non-Schengen zone of Terminal A, past passport control and before the long-haul gates. It serves as LOT’s non-Schengen business lounge option and also takes Priority Pass, plus pay-in at the door when capacity allows. If you’re on a same-day LOT business class ticket to a non-Schengen destination, staff usually just scan your boarding pass and wave you through.

Expect an “it’ll do” setup rather than anything premium: one compact room, standard armchairs, basic work tables, and a few bar-height spots by the windows. Reviews from April 2023 call it average and, more importantly, too small for the traffic hitting the non-Schengen flights banked around morning and late afternoon departures. If your flight boards from a remote stand, allow 10–15 minutes to get from the lounge to the bus gates.

Catering runs to simple cold snacks and a couple of hot trays, with the travelguys review noting limited options during a pre-flight visit. Think sandwiches, pastries, and a basic hot dish rather than a full meal; plan to eat properly in Warsaw or in-flight if you’re on long-haul. Coffee machines, juice, soft drinks, and standard bottled beer and wine sit on a self-serve counter; spirits selection is functional but nothing you’d photograph.

Most regulars with Priority Pass or a LOT business boarding pass treat Bolero as the “better than sitting at the gate” option before non-Schengen departures. Power outlets are scattered, not at every seat, so people tend to grab spots near the walls or pillars with visible sockets. Wi‑Fi usually rides on the airport’s free network, so speed depends on overall terminal traffic, especially around the bank of long-haul LOT flights.

Watch out for crunch times: the same review that called it average also mentioned a last-minute rush right before boarding, when the room felt more like an extension of the gate than a lounge. Seating fills quickly around 60–90 minutes before major non-Schengen departures, and you may have to hover for a chair. If you want a quieter sit, arrive early in the bank or aim for off-peak mid-day flights.

One practical tip: clear passport control first, walk straight to your gate to check walking time, then backtrack to Bolero and set a hard alarm for 40 minutes before departure so the crowd and distance don’t catch you out.
