Gate-side beer from €5 at Švyturys Airport Bar
Ten minutes from most gates in T1, Švyturys Airport Bar is the easy option if you want a Lithuanian beer before boarding. It sits airside after security, so you can stay near departures screens and keep an eye on boarding. Seating is bar stools and a few small tables, better for short stops than long laptop sessions.
Švyturys is one of Lithuania’s best-known breweries, and you’ll usually see their pale lager, Baltijos dark beer, and an occasional seasonal on tap from about €5 a glass. Bottles and cans run a bit higher, closer to €6–€7, and there’s a basic wine and spirits list if beer isn’t your thing. Ask what’s on draught; the taps rotate occasionally.
Food is simple bar fare: think snacks and light bites that land in the €4–€12 range. Expect things like nuts, crisps, maybe a hot sandwich or burger, and a few fried options rather than a full restaurant menu. Portions skew airport-small, so if you’re properly hungry, treat this as a warm-up rather than your only meal before a 3‑hour flight.
Hours track most departures, opening early morning for the first wave and usually running until the last evening flights, roughly 05:00–22:00 depending on the schedule. Morning options lean more toward coffee and soft drinks, though you can still get a beer with your 07:30 Ryanair if that’s how your day is going.
Watch prices on impulse orders; two beers and a snack can easily clear €20 once airport markup and tip are in play. Service is generally quick when there are 5–10 people at the bar, but expect slowdown if two planes from London and Oslo dump passengers at once.
Tip: check the screens by the bar every 5–10 minutes; some Schengen flights at VNO start boarding a solid 30 minutes before departure.
