Crustum

Gate-side coffee and pastries near T1 departures

Crustum sits airside in Vilnius Airport’s T1 Schengen departures zone, a few minutes’ walk from the central security checkpoint. It runs from early morning through late evening to catch the first and last banks of flights. This is the main stop in VNO if you want a proper espresso or cappuccino pulled to café standards instead of machine coffee from a kiosk.

Expect prices in the €3–€4 range for espresso drinks and around €2–€4 for pastries, which is slightly higher than downtown Vilnius but normal for an EU airport. There’s a visible counter with fresh-baked items: croissants, danishes, and seasonal sweet pastries typically lined up in metal trays. If you need something more filling before a 2–3 hour flight, there are usually simple sandwiches and focaccia-style slices in the €5–€8 bracket.

Seating sits directly by the T1 gate area, so you’re only 1–2 minutes from most Schengen gates and about 5 minutes from non-Schengen passport control. Power outlets are limited, so don’t plan to charge a drained laptop during a 30-minute coffee stop. Service speed varies with the morning rush, but even with a queue of 8–10 people, drinks and pastries usually land in under 10 minutes.

Card payment in euros is standard here, and contactless works smoothly with foreign Visa and Mastercard, so there’s no need to withdraw cash for a quick snack. Staff are used to passengers bouncing between Lithuanian, English, and sometimes Polish or Russian, and basic coffee orders in English are understood without issue. Vegan or gluten-free choices are hit-or-miss, but there is at least one salad or lighter option most days.

Tip: if your gate is at the far end of T1, grab coffee at Crustum before you walk down; there may only be vending machines closer to the outlying stands.
