Gate-side French pastries in T1 from 08:00 daily

Patisserie sits airside in Terminal T1 after security, so you can grab a French-style pastry without backtracking toward check-in. It opens from 08:00 to 20:00, which covers most daytime departures out of Viracopos International Airport (VCP). Expect mid-range prices ($$) for a bakery in a regional Brazilian hub, not cheap like a landside café but below full-service restaurant levels.

This is a straight-ahead bakery with a French tilt, not a full hot-meals restaurant. The menu leans on classics like croissants, tarts, and its signature Chocolate Éclair, which usually comes out of the case around mid-morning and tends to go faster on Monday and Friday bank times. Coffee runs more than basic drip spots in Campinas, but still lands below what you’d pay at a sit-down spot in São Paulo–GRU.

The Chocolate Éclair is the main reason to stop: choux pastry, chocolate glaze, and a cream filling that holds up even if you’re carrying it to a gate at the far end of T1. One éclair plus an espresso or cappuccino will typically land around a mid-$$ check rather than tipping into $$$ territory. If you need something more substantial, you can usually piece together a light meal from larger pastries instead of hunting for a full-service restaurant elsewhere in T1.

Seating near Patisserie is standard terminal tables rather than a walled-off café, so you stay within sight of most nearby T1 gates. Since it closes at 20:00, late-night departures out of VCP should plan on eating earlier or packing something from Campinas. Lines tend to spike around the 09:00–11:00 and 17:00–19:00 departure banks, so factor in a 10–15 minute buffer during those windows.

Tip: if you’re short on time, skip browsing the full pastry case and head straight for the Chocolate Éclair and a coffee; it’s usually the quickest path through the line.
