ATVO Bibione Express

Coach

Coach

German and Austrian families fill this coach to Bibione in July

ATVO Bibione Express is a seasonal coach from Venice Marco Polo Airport T1 straight to the Bibione resort strip, mainly running June–September with multiple departures on peak Saturdays. It’s aimed at holiday traffic, so you’ll often see packed buses timed to match inbound flights from Germany and Austria. Off-season, October to around April, the timetable on atvo.it shows few departures or none at all, so you can’t treat it like a year-round option.

The coach leaves from the ATVO bus bays outside T1 arrivals, about a 5–7 minute walk from baggage claim once you exit customs. Tickets on similar ATVO routes usually sit in the €15–€25 range one-way, depending on stop and season, and Bibione runs tend to be in that bracket. You can buy tickets at the ATVO counter near arrivals or online via atvo.it before you fly, which makes Saturdays in late July much less stressful.

Summer frequency matters here: in July and August, ATVO’s timetable shows several daily Bibione runs, with a clear spike on Saturdays to feed weekly resort turnarounds. In May, September, and shoulder dates, it drops back to just one or two trips per day, and in deep winter some weeks show zero service. Always pull the exact date on atvo.it, because a coach that runs on a Saturday in August may not run at all on a Tuesday in October.

Regulars treat this coach as the first leg of a package-style setup: they often pick hotels or apartments in Bibione that advertise a free or low-cost shuttle meeting specific ATVO arrivals, especially the late-morning and early-afternoon coaches on Saturdays. That way, the handoff is simple: off the coach, into the hotel van, and on to the Via delle Costellazioni or Spiaggia sections without touching a taxi meter. If your accommodation mentions “ATVO transfer” in the confirmation email, they usually mean this line.

Step-by-step from arrivals to Bibione

  • 1. Land at Venice Marco Polo (T1) and pass passport control and baggage claim; in summer, allow 30–45 minutes from touchdown to clearing customs.
  • 2. After customs, turn right toward the public transport area and look for the blue ATVO ticket office in the arrivals hall; buy a Bibione Express ticket or confirm your online booking number.
  • 3. Exit the terminal at the ground floor doors signed "Bus" and walk 150–200 meters to the ATVO bays; check the on-site board for the Bibione Express stand number.
  • 4. Be at the bay at least 10–15 minutes before the printed departure time; high-season Saturday departures can fill all 50+ seats.
  • 5. Load large suitcases into the underfloor hold, keep passports and booking details in a small daypack, then board and choose seats together if you’re in a group.
  • 6. Stay on the coach through the resort stops until you reach the one listed in your hotel’s directions (for example, Bibione Autostazione or specific named stops on Corso del Sole).
  • 7. Once off the coach, look for your hotel’s shuttle van or walk the remaining 300–800 meters, depending on the property’s address and how close it sits to the main stop.

One last tip: lock in both your coach ticket and your hotel’s connecting shuttle time before you buy flights, especially for Saturday arrivals in late July or early August, so all three pieces line up cleanly.
