Inside T1 security, Venice Bar is the first real sit-down option
Once you clear security in Terminal T1, Venice Bar shows up quickly in the main departures area, past the shops. It’s airside, so you’re safe on time as long as your gate is in T1. Price-wise it sits in the middle of airport ranges: expect about €7–€9 for a glass of wine and around €6–€9 for a sandwich or toasted panini.
Food is typical Italian bar fare: think toasted panini, simple sandwiches, and pastries rather than full meals. If you’re boarding a short-haul flight within 90 minutes, grabbing a panini and a drink here beats relying on buy-on-board. Portions run small-to-moderate, so a single panini may not pass as lunch if you’re really hungry.
Drinks lean on coffee and wine. Espresso and cappuccino usually land in the €1.50–€3 range, so you’re not far off city prices, just a bit higher. A glass of house red or white can run around €6–€8, with bottled beer slightly more. It works well for one last spritz or quick caffeine before a morning departure out of T1.
Service style is Italian bar standard: order and pay at the counter, then stand or grab one of the limited stools or tables. At busy times around the 07:00–09:00 and late-afternoon bank of flights, seating goes fast. If your boarding pass shows a Schengen departure, you’re usually within a 5–10 minute walk from here to most gates.
Tip: if your gate is already posted, check the monitor first; if it’s showing a “remote stand” bus gate, finish your drink at least 25 minutes before departure to avoid a last-minute sprint down from the main T1 bar area.
