3.50–4.00 EUR espresso prices tell you what Puro Gusto is: the standard Autogrill-style coffee and snack counter you’ve seen in half the airports in Italy, transplanted into Venice Marco Polo’s T1.
You’ll find Puro Gusto airside in Terminal 1, after security, set up mainly for quick grabs before Schengen departures rather than a long sit-down meal. Think standing at the bar with a 1.30–1.80 EUR quick espresso in most Italian cities, but here the airport mark-up kicks in and you’re paying airport rates for the same basic concept.
The menu runs through the usual suspects: espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, plus soft drinks and bottled water, along with pre-made sandwiches, tramezzini, and wrapped pastries. Expect simple ham-and-cheese or salami panini in the 6–8 EUR range, and croissants or packaged sweet snacks at a couple of euros each. Nothing here targets Venice specifically; it could be Catania, Naples, or Bologna by the look of the display case.
Service style matches most T1 coffee bars at VCE: order and pay at the counter, then hover for your drink and grab a free spot at the high tables if you can. Turnover is quick, and staff push through the line efficiently when morning flights bank around 06:30–09:00. If you’re used to Italian bars, stand at the counter and drink fast; if not, just expect it to feel a bit rushed.
Watch your timing if you’re close to boarding: it can take 5–10 minutes from payment to cup in hand when two or three flights out of T1 board at once and the espresso machines are running nonstop. If you care about coffee quality, grab your drink here, skip the food, and plan to eat something more interesting in Venice city instead.
