€35 buys walk-up access to the Fast Track Lounge in VCE T1
This small pay-in lounge sits airside in Terminal 1, past security and passport control for Schengen departures. It mainly serves non-Schengen and Schengen flights from T1, so check your gate on screens nearby before settling in. Signs for “Fast Track Lounge” appear about 50 meters after security, pointing left off the main departures corridor.
The lounge usually opens around 05:00 and runs until the last evening departures, often close to 22:00. Morning peaks around the 06:00–09:00 bank of flights see most seats taken, while mid-afternoon around 14:00 is often quieter. If you have a short 45-minute connection inside T1, skip it; you will spend 10–15 minutes just getting in and out.
Food options lean snack-heavy: expect packaged biscuits, crisps, and a few pastries like croissants in the morning, plus basic sandwiches at lunch. Don’t plan on a full meal; grab a proper plate in the main departures area if you need more than a light bite. Coffee machines pour espresso, cappuccino, and macchiato at the press of a button, with paper cups for take-away to the gate.
Drinks cover the basics: self-serve soft drinks, bottled water, and a couple of Veneto wines plus one or two spirits. Beer is usually from standard European brands on bottle or can, not tap. If you care about specific labels, check the small fridge and counter before paying the walk-up fee, as the offer can vary by day and time.
Seating runs to around a few dozen armchairs with low tables and a few bar-height spots near the windows. Power outlets line the walls, generally one pair of sockets every second seat, and Wi‑Fi uses the same VCE airport network name you see in the terminal, just with a slightly stronger signal. Expect noise to spike whenever a group of 10–15 passengers arrives together from the same tour or cruise transfer.
Showers are typically not available here, and there is no dedicated nap room or recliner-style seating; this is more of a soft-seat upgrade from the main terminal than a full-service flagship lounge. Restrooms sit just outside the entrance, about 20 meters down the corridor, so factor in an extra couple of minutes before boarding time.
Practical tip: check your gate number on the screens inside the lounge at least 35 minutes before departure; some non-Schengen gates at T1 sit a 10–12 minute walk away, plus an extra passport check on the way.
