Cafe Coffee Day

T2

Gate-side caffeine in T2 before international departures

Cafe Coffee Day sits airside in Terminal T2 at Thiruvananthapuram International, handy if your boarding pass says an international flight out of the newer terminal. It’s a typical Indian high-street CCD setup, just shrunk for airport use, so expect counter service, limited seating, and a fast in‑and‑out flow between security and the gates.

Drinks run at airport prices: a cappuccino or latte usually lands in the ₹180–₹250 range, with an espresso a bit cheaper and larger frappé-style drinks pushing up toward ₹300. You’ll see the familiar CCD menu board with hot coffees, cold coffees, a few teas, and the sugary blended drinks that show up in every Indian mall location.

On the food side, think quick heat‑and‑eat: veg and chicken sandwiches, puffs, and packaged muffins or brownies, generally priced around ₹120–₹220 per item. Nothing here replaces a real meal in town, but for a 23:50 international departure out of T2, a paneer tikka sandwich and a latte beats flying on an empty stomach.

Hours flex with flight banks, but CCD usually opens well before the early morning departures, often by around 04:00, and stays open past the late‑night Middle East flights. If you’re landing late into T2 after 22:00, you still have a decent shot at getting a filter coffee before baggage claim and taxis.

Cards and UPI are both standard, and bills typically stay under ₹500 for a drink plus snack. Service is counter-only, so factor in 5–10 minutes if there’s a rush of passengers from a single wide‑body flight parked at one of the T2 gates.

Tip: If your flight from T2 boards by bus, order only after your gate shows a final boarding time on the FIDS; CCD drinks sometimes take long enough that a sudden bus call can catch you mid‑macchiato.
