Bookshop

Near T1 security, Bookshop sits just past the main departures area at Turin Airport.

It’s the place in T1 to grab something to read before boarding, with shelves of paperbacks and magazines focused on Italian and European titles. You’ll usually find current bestsellers in Italian plus some English-language options, especially big-name fiction and travel guides for Piedmont and the Alps. Prices track normal Italian high-street bookshop levels, not tourist-gouge airport levels.

Beyond books, the shop stocks basic travel needs in T1: stationery, puzzle books, kids’ activity pads, and a small rack of greeting cards. You can also pick up simple gifts like Turin postcards and compact souvenirs under €10, useful if you forgot something in the city. Stock changes with the season, so summer tends to bring more guidebooks and maps, winter more ski-region material.

Service is quick; expect to be in and out in under 5–10 minutes if you already know what you want. Staff usually speak Italian and basic English, enough to help you track down a specific author or magazine. The shop takes card payments, including contactless, which helps if you’ve already burned through your last euros in T1’s cafés.

Tip: stop here before heading to your gate in T1, since some piers at Turin have only vending machines and limited reading material once you walk down to the end.
